Privacy statement
Last updated on 27 October 2026.
This statement explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us through a form, why we do so and what your rights are. It covers this website, not what you record in the HERD-LOG apps or portal.
Who is responsible?
HERD-LOG is a service of Acronda, Peerdsbosstraat 7, 2200 Herentals, Belgium, company number BE 0822.818.633. For privacy questions: info@herd-log.com.
Which data and why?
If you use the contact form or the report form
We keep what you fill in: your name, your email address, your phone number and subject (if you fill them in), your choices in the report form (e.g. which app it is about) and your message, to handle and follow up your question or report. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions and improving HERD-LOG, or steps prior to a contract if you ask about a plan.
We only use your IP address briefly to prevent abuse, such as too many messages in a row. We do not store it with your message.
Visitor statistics
We count how many visitors the pages get, without cookies and without tracking you. To do so, we derive an anonymous code from your IP address and browser that changes every day; the IP address itself is not stored. This means we cannot recognise you, not even from one day to the next. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the website.
Cookies
This website only uses functional cookies. We do not track you and do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
- tesselio-lang-choice: remembers the language you choose (1 year).
- tesselio-cookie-notice: remembers that you have seen the cookie notice (1 year).
- .AspNetCore.Antiforgery…: protects forms against abuse (until you close your browser).
Who receives your data?
We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for advertising. We work with these processors:
- Hetzner Online (Germany): the servers this website runs on.
- Scaleway (France): sends the website's emails, such as the notice that a message came in.
We keep backups on the server and on a storage device owned by Acronda in Belgium.
How long do we keep your data?
- Messages sent through the forms: as long as needed to follow up your question, and at most 2 years after you sent them.
- Visitor statistics: contain no personal data; the daily code cannot be traced back to you.
- Backups: disappear automatically, after 14 days on the server and after 90 days on our own storage device.
Security
All connections use https, the forms are protected against abuse, and every night we make a backup with a copy in another location.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to have processing restricted, to take your data with you and to object to processing. To do so, send an email to info@herd-log.com; we reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes
If anything changes in how we process data, we update this statement. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
